Ephesians 4:7-9

⁷But each of us was given grace according to the measure in which Christ allotted it. ⁸Therefore, it is written,

“When he ascended to the heights,
he took prisoners into captivity
and gave gifts to men.”

⁹Now the word “ascended” implies that he also descended into the lower regions of the earth.
